The Opening of Belleek Library
Lovely day was had at the official opening of Belleek Library, a big thankyou to Sean O’Loughlin local author and historian who kindly agreed to do the unvieling of the plaque in his honour. We also would like to thank Jemma Dolan MLA and Lez Cleary who have provided so much support over the last 8 months. We now have an incredible collection of over 3000 books of which 2050 are currently catalogued and online all donated by local people with a love of books and libraries.
We hope this is the start of a new love affair with reading and books and welcome anyone who wants to join our current 80 members absolutely free. We intend to have a number of projects running here at the library including a Genealogy and Research Room with courses to research your family history. We also have plans for book reading clubs for both adults, young adults and children in the near future.
