Andy Murie

Andy has been involved with charitable organisations serving voluntarily on management committees and been employed in various administrative roles. He is currently Secretary of Belleek Men’s Shed.

He instituted and audited the quality standards gold, silver, and bronze award system within the independent advice sector in Derry City and Strabane District Council and was the quality standards auditor for Citizens Advice Northern Ireland.

Andy also worked in the public sector for the Scottish Parliament as a Regional Office manager and researcher and is now self-employed within the private sector as a maintenance technician.

Could you be part of the Belleek Hub Dream Team?

As activities at Belleek Hub start taking shape, we are seeking expressions of interest from anyone would like to lend their time, skills and experience to get the Hub ready to hit the ground running and maintain momentum as activity ramps up in 2025.

In the first instance, we're looking for people who can commit to even a few regular hours on a weekly or monthly timetable on a voluntary basis, as well as for people who would like to help run a specific event like the Christmas Craft Fair.

Our longer-term plan will be to create paid employment opportunities at the Hub - by the end of 2025 if not well before that.

In the meantime, thank you in advance - all offers of assistance gratefully received!
